Start Gardening In Boarding House

I have this plan to plant something actually already quite a long time ago.
In front of my room, in my boarding house, there are two plots of land with length around 4 m each.

There are some wild plants that grew themselves.
I think maybe I can put a pot of my plant there.

I don't really like flower, so I prefer to plant vegetables.
I think it might be fun to have my own garden with vegetables that I can cook.

You know, to start something you also need something.

So to wait for that something, I am a kind of forgetting my plant.

But I was lucky because I finally got many advices from my student.
She comes from Melbourne, Australia and she has diploma on plantation and such.

From here I realize that to start gardening you don't really need to spent a lot of money on the pot.
She suggested me to take an advantage on the land that I have in front of my room.
She also taught me to make my own compost.

So after work, I directly clean the small land in front of my room.
There were many wild plants and rubbish in the land because not many people in my boarding house care about it.
So I started with picking the dry leaves in purpose that I can start to create my own compost in my new land.
After that I unplugged the wild plants and right at that moment I felt doubt because I found many stones in the land.
I thought that there are many stones in the land rather than the soil.
I felt a bit scared and sad to know that.

But I kept cleaning the land and I started with 1 m only.
Later I will ask my student whether this kind of land is still good to be planted with plants.

I hope it's still can be used because when I cleaned it, I found a worm in it.

So I think that this soil is good enough.
